Drone Filming Process

We handle all planning, permissions and safety — so you don’t have to. From the first call through to final delivery, everything is organised to keep the job straightforward and stress-free.

Getting Started

Every project begins with a clear conversation to understand what you need — whether that’s aerial photos, video, or specific site coverage. We confirm the brief, outline the approach, and make sure everything is planned properly before filming.

Planning & Site Preparation

Before any flight, we carry out a full site assessment and risk check. This includes reviewing the location, confirming GPS signal strength, and identifying a safe area for take-off and landing.

Where needed, we secure the working area and use clear signage so everything runs safely and without disruption.

Permissions & Access

If landowner permission is required, this must be in place before filming. We’ll guide you through what’s needed and keep the process simple so nothing holds the project up.

Airspace & Regulations

For locations near airfields or within controlled airspace, additional approvals may be required. We manage these checks as part of the planning stage, but it helps to flag any nearby airfields early on.

Weather & Scheduling

Drone filming depends on suitable weather conditions. If it’s not safe to fly, we’ll reschedule with you and prioritise the next available window.

Safety on Site

Safety is built into every job. We assess the surrounding area, manage access where required, and ensure anyone nearby is kept clear of operations. For busier locations, we can take additional steps to inform people and minimise disruption.
