Property, land and larger sites

Commercial and construction projects

Business premises, retail sites, developments and construction projects around Chepstow can be photographed for marketing, progress records, site context and planned promotional films.

Tourism, accommodation and outdoor businesses

Chepstow’s position beside the lower Wye Valley provides strong context for accommodation, visitor attractions, rural property and tourism projects.

Roof and building inspections

Focused aerial photographs can provide a clear view of roofs, chimneys, elevations and other difficult-to-see areas without producing piles of unnecessary material.

Town and rural flight planning

Town-centre activity, busy roads, neighbouring property, rural access, public areas and local airspace can all affect a Chepstow flight. We check the exact location beforehand and plan the operating position around the real conditions on the ground.

CHEPSTOW & THE LOWER WYE VALLEY

A useful mix of town, property and landscape

Chepstow has a strong local identity without being only a tourism location. Property, commercial premises, construction sites and rural projects all sit close to the Wye Valley and major transport routes.

Property and development

Aerial photographs can show larger homes, housing sites, gardens, access roads and surrounding land far more clearly than ground photography alone.

Commercial sites

Business premises, retail areas and development sites can be shown in context, including parking, road access and neighbouring buildings.

Tourism and hospitality

For accommodation, venues and visitor businesses, wider aerial views can connect the subject with Chepstow, the River Wye and the surrounding valley.

Rural and riverside locations

Tintern, St Arvans and nearby countryside can produce strong aerial material where the setting is part of the brief. Tree cover and valley terrain are considered when choosing the operating position.

CHEPSTOW DRONE FAQ

Practical questions

Which drone do you use – DJI Mini 5 Pro or Mavic 4 Pro?

We match the aircraft to the environment. The DJI Mini 5 Pro is particularly useful in more congested or built-up locations around Chepstow, where its compact 249g-class design gives us greater operational flexibility while still producing professional high-resolution photography and 4K video.

For cinematic filming in wide-open spaces, the DJI Mavic 4 Pro is the stronger choice. Its larger camera system, 6K capability and additional telephoto perspectives suit estates, open countryside, tourism films and broad Wye Valley landscape work.

A tighter town or property location may favour the Mini 5 Pro, while open countryside and cinematic briefs can make better use of the Mavic 4 Pro.

Can you inspect a roof or difficult-to-see part of a building?

Yes. A drone can provide clear photographs of tiles, chimneys, gutters, flat roofs, elevations and other areas that are difficult to inspect from ground level. Tell us what needs to be seen and we can concentrate the flight on those areas rather than producing unnecessary photographs.

Can you fly in built-up parts of Chepstow?

Potentially, yes. The exact location matters. Streets, people, neighbouring property, take-off access, airspace and the aircraft being used all affect how a flight can be carried out. Send the address or map pin and we can assess the site before attendance.

Do you provide photographs, video or both?

Either. For inspections or straightforward property work, still photographs may be all that is required. Commercial and promotional projects can include planned aerial video movements as well as high-resolution stills. We agree what is actually needed before the shoot.

Can you follow our own shot list or brief?

Yes. Agencies, developers, surveyors and marketing teams can send a shot list, site plan or visual brief in advance. For a simple job that can be the quickest way to work: arrive knowing exactly what is required, capture it efficiently and supply the agreed material.

What happens if the weather is unsuitable?

We keep an eye on wind, rain and visibility before the job. If conditions would make the flight unsafe or the results poor, the sensible option is to move the aerial work to a suitable weather window rather than force the flight.
